CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CITY-COUNTY COOPERATION AND CONTINUED REVENUE SHARING
AGREEMENTS
WHEREAS, County-wide library and road levy programs with revenue share-back
formulas for City shares have proven equitable and acceptable to the voters;
WHEREAS, the current County operating levy is expiring and essential services,
especially Sheriff, are in jeopardy; and,
WHEREAS, City support is _.._ntial to passage of any new County-wide serial
levy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1. The City wishes to indicate its support or a County serial levy
for essential operations providing that the City has an opportunity to comment
on both the scope of the levy and the City share portion or the levy; and
Section 2. The City agrees to inform its citizens as to its position on the
fairness and equitability of the levy, and the use of City share funds from
the levy.
