+ RESOLUTION NO. 84—
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL PRESCRIBING NEW FEES AND CHARGES FOR
LIBRARY CARD HOLDERS.
WHEREAS, ORS 192.440(2) and Ordinance No. 82-72 grant the City of Tigard the
authority to set rates for fees and charges,. to recover the City's costs of
service; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard Public Library is experiencing extreme financial hardship
due to the City Tax Base failure and the uncertainty of the Washington County
Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS) funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
Section 1: The Library Card holders who reside outside of the Tigard
corporate limits shall be assessed a fee of $36.00 for each card per year.
Section 2: This resolution shall become effective on July 1, 1984 only if at
the June 26, 1984 election the measure fails requesting funding of the
Washington County Cooperative Services (WCCLS) serial levy.
