Resolution No. 84-20B CITY OF TIC R D, OREGON RESOLUTION NO. 84—_,�0 A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MAY 15, 1984, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE STATE—WIDE PRIMARY ELECTION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE REGISTERED QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF TIGARD NAMES OF CANDIDATES FOR THE POSITIONS OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL POSITION X62. WHEREAS, the present Mayor and the present Position #2 Councillor of the City of Tigard has resigned, and WHEREAS, this requires an election be held other than the regular November election, and WHEREAS, the City has received qualified nominating petitions and the nominees have accepted nominations for the positions NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that: Section 1: A special election is hereby called to be held in the City of Tigard on May 15, 1984, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Daylight Savings Time at the polling places designated in Exhibit A for the purpose of submitting to the registered, qualified voters of the City of Tigard names of candidates for the Mayor Position and Council Position #2 as set forth in the attached Exhibit B. Section 2: The following candidates' names will appear on the ballot at the May 15, 1984 election for the positions as indicated. Office of Mayor: Vote for 1 to fill an unexpired term of office through December 31, 1984. John E. Cook Francis J. Tepedino Robert Charles Wyffels Council Position #2: Vote for 1 to fill an unexpired term of office through December 31, 1984. La Valle E. Allen Phillip R.
