RESOLUTION NO. 83-2LIQ
A RESOLUTION FURTHERING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF TICARD OF THE TERRITORY AS
OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B" ATTACHED (78th S Pfaffle)
WHEREAS, "consents" in the form of a petition have been presented to
the City of Tigard requesting annexation of certain tracts of land presently
contiguous to the corporate limits of the City; and
WHEREAS, the consents in the form of a petition were signed by the
owners of said tracts of land; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard Council has reviewed the consents and set
the final boundary for the annexation as required by subsection (2) of ORS
222.170; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the setting of the final boundary, the
consents of land contained therein represent 'more than half of the owners of
land in the territory, , who also own more than half of the land in the
contiguous territory and of real property therein representing more than half
of the assessed value of all real property in the contiguous territory;" and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation therefore is in accordance with ORS
222.170 and constitutes a so-called "triple majority" annexation under ORS
222.170 and a "minor boundary change" under Boundary C ommission law, ORS
199.410 to 199.510.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIGARD, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, at a regular meeting
held on the 10th day of October 1983, that;
Section I: The Council hereby approves the proposed annexation and requests
the Commission to approve it and effect it as soon as possible.
Section 2: The City Recorder is hereby directed to file certified copies of
the statements of consent and of the Resolution with the Portland Metropolitan
Area Local Government Boundary Commission at once.

Washington County, Oregon, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the initial point of FAIRVALE, a recorded plat
(book 16, pg 42), thence on the west line of said plat and a northerly extension
thereof N 0" 17' E 799.3 feet to the north line of the George Richardson D.L.C.
No_ 55; thence on said north line S 89' 03' E 55.8 feet; thence N 0° 17' E
108.10 feet to the south right-of-way line of S.W. Spruce Street; thence on
said south line N 89' 56' 09" E 147 feet to the east right-of-way line of
. S-W. 78th Avenue; thence on said east line on a 15 foot radius curve concave
to the northwest 23.47 feet; thence continuing on said east right-of-way line
S 0' 17' W 123.54 feet; thence N 89' 56' 09" E 100 feet; thence S 0' 17' W
