Resolution No. 83-32 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON RESOLUTION NO. 83-,3-2_ A RESOLUTION REQUESTING INITIATION OF ACTION BY WASHINGTON COUNTY TO INVESTIGATE AND ESTABLISH POSTED SPEED ZONE(S) ON S.W. SATTLER STREET, BETWEEN S.W. 98th AVENUE AND S.W. HALL BLVD. WHEREAS, S.W. Sattler Street, between S.W. 98th Avenue and S.W. Hall Boulevard, is within the boundaries of the City of Tigard, Oregon, and WHEREAS, said street is (still) under the jurisdiction of Washing- ton County, for operational and maintenance purposes, and WHEREAS, the City Council, aware on account of its members direct contact with traffic in the area and, in addition, having had the recommend- ation of the City's Chief of Police and Director of Public Works, is of the opinion that said street merits a detailed vehicle speed zone investigation, and WHEREAS, under the provisions of ORS 487.90 the State Speed Control Board may make such detailed investigation, to designate a reasonable and safe speed, if requested by local authority; and NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Tigard hereby req,jests that the Board of ommissioners of Washington County initiate action to make a detailed investigation thereof, to designate and post reasonable and safe speed(s) therealong. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Tigard directs that the City Recorder of the City forward this resolution to the Board of Commission- ers of Washington County immediately upon passage. First Hillsboro, OR 97123 RE: Resolution No. 83-32 Dear Sirs: The Tigard City Council at their regular meeting March 28, 1983, adopted Resolution No. 83-32 which requests the County initiate action to investigate, designate and post reasonable and safe speeds along SW Sattler between SW 98th Avenue and SW Hall Blvd. The City respectfully requests the County request the State Speed Control Board to conduct a detailed speed zone investigation. If the City may be of further assistance regarding this matter, please contact the Chief of Police and Director of Public Works.
