A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING WASHINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS INCLUDE FUNDING ($800,000) FOR COUNTYWIDE LIBRARY AUTOMATION IN
THEIR PROPOSED MARCH, 1983.OPERATING BUDGET/SERIAL LEVY.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has joined other agencies and cities of
:Washington
County in offering non-fee countywide public library services since1976; and

WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has ascertained that a shared library automated
circulation system will be in the best interests of cost effective countywide
library services; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Tigard will receive substantial improvements in
library services from the implementation of such a shared automation system.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL THAT:
Section 1: The Washington County Board of Commissioners be requested to `s
include funding ($800,000) for countywide library automation
in their March, 1983 operating bt•dget/serial levy.
