RESOLUTION NO. 82-_L,"
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A TIME EXTENSION OF THE CTTY OF PORTLAND FROM THE
DECEMBER 25, 1982 WATER CONTRACT DEADLINE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard requested and was granted by the City of
Portland a six-month extension from the June 25, 1982 Water Contract deadline
to December 25, 1982; and -
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard immediately formed a Water Study Committee
which has been meeting frequently to determine the overall water situation to
the community; and
WHEREAS, that Committee has made good progress but has just now begun its
deliberation of the facts it gathered.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tigard, that:
The City of Tigard requests a three (3) month extension from December 25,
1982 to March 25, 1983 in which the City can sign the 25-Year Water Supply
Contract without penalty; and
The City of Tigard further resolves and expresses its appreciation to the
City of Portland for its cooperation and assistance in this important matter.
