RESOLUTION No. 81- -It,
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SERVICE CONTRACTS AS PERSONAL SERVICE
CUNTRACTS.
WHEREAS, the State of Oregon bidding requirements for public
contracts do not apply to agreements for personal service, ORS
279.011; and
WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Oregon at ORS 279.051
permit the Public Contract Review Board to designate certain service
contracts as personal service contracts; and
WHEREAS, the statutes of the State of Oregon at ORS 279.055
permit the City to act as the Public Contract Review Board; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard City Council, by Ordinance 76-3(3) ,
1976, has appointed itself the Local Contract Review Board; and
WHEREAS, most personal services contracted for by the City
result in reports and other documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
The City of Tigard City Council, acting in its capacity as
the Local Contract Review Board, designates as personal service
contracts a class of service contracts where personal service is
rendered and may include incidental materials such as written
reports, maps, charts, architectural or engineering renderings and
similar supplemental materals.
The class of service contracts designated by this Council as
personal service contracts includes, but is not limited to, contracts
for planning, economic analysis, appraisal, architectural and
engineering services.
