RESOLUTION No. 81-'ZS
A RESOLUTION SETTING PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION OF AN APPRAISER FOR
THE CROW BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the hiring of an appraiser to evaluate the lease or
purchase of a property by the City shall be based upon merit and
fitness; and
WHEREAS, the selection methods will be based solely on job
related knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education and
prior experience; and
WHEREAS, regardless of the number of competitors, the
selection method shall be deemed competitive when the required
qualifications are based on education, experience and personal
standards and all persons being considered compete against common
standards;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY .THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL
that the following process shall be used to select an appraiser
for lease or purchase of the Crow Building for use by the City of
Tigard:
1. The Council shall contact several appraisers in the
area.
2. The candidates for selection shall be familiar with the
area.
3. The candidates for selection shall submit proposals to
the City Council.
4. A selection will be made based on the cost, the ability
to meet the time schedule and experience as reflected in the pro-
posals.
