RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL TRANSFERRING FUNDS INTO SPECIAL RESERVE ACCOUNT. F

WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council desires to place money in reserve accounts for
the Civic Center development and Library Building fund. 1

EXPLANATION FOR AGENDA ITEM #18
Funds to be set aside in special accounts for special projects do not need to be
budgeted until such time as funds are spent.
The funds only need Io be set up in special cash accounts with an offsetting
entry to a reserve account (dedicating the funds). The reserve account decreases
the regular Fund Balance Account.
The auditors prefer to make this entry at the time they make the audit report as
they do not like for the Accounting Department to touch the regular Fund Balance
account.
