A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WITHDRAWAL OF FUNDS FROM THE MAJOR STREET CAPITAL PROJECT
FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE LOCAL SHARE OF THE PACIFIC HIGHWAY PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has entered into an agreement with the Oregon
Department of Transportation (ODOT) to make certain improvements to Pacific Highway
(99W), from the North Tigard Interchange to Beef Bend Road; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements are consistent with the City.s Interim
Extra-Capacity Streets Capital Improvement Program, adopted by the City as Resolution
No. 79-85; and
WHEREAS, the City, in 1977, created a dedicated fund entitled "Major Street
Capital Project Fund" in which all funds derived from the System Development Charge
are to be placed for the purpose of installing, constructing, and extending extra
capacity street facilities; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on November 15, 1979, for the construction of planned
improvements to Pacific Highway, and the City must pay to ODOT one hundred precent
(100%) of the local share of the estimated project costs before the project construction
contract can be awarded.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorized the City Finance Director
to withdraw funds from the Major Street Capital. Project Fund, in an amount not to
exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) for the purpose of paying the
local share of the Pacific Highway Project.
