Resolution No. 79-59 ■ ...... .. . ..... ..... . . . . . . ■ t CITY OF TIGARD, ORE`G<ON RESOLUTION No. 79- v A RESCLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION OF ISLANCS TO THE CITY OF TIGARD WHEREAS, the City of Tigard is initiating annexation to the City the territory described on the attached Exhibit "A". WHEREAS, ANNEXATION TO THE City of the territory so bounded would con- stitute a "minor boundary change" under the boundary commission law, ORS 199.410 to 199.510, and a so-called "Island annexation" under ORS 222.750; and SVHEREAS, by authority of ORS 199.490(3) (a) and 222.750 the Common Council of the City may initiate the annexation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, a municipal corporation of the State of Oregon, at a special ses- sion held on the 21st day of May , L979, that: Section 1. The Council, pursuant to ORS 199.490(3) (a) hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of the territory to the City. r Section 2. The Council hereby. approves the proposed annexation and requests the Portland Local Government Boundary Commission to approve it and effect it as soon as possible. Section 3.
