A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE GARBAGE RATES.
On December 18, 1978, representatives of the franchised solid waste disposal
companies serving the City of Tigard appeared before the City Council to present
evidence in support of a request for rate increases. The required 60—day period hav—
ing now passed between the written notice of the rate—increase proposal and this action
by the City Council, and the Council having been satisfied by the evidence submitted
that the requested increase is justified and necessary on account of increased costs of
the conduct of the business of the franchisees, particularly in the form of increased
landfill fees. The Council also recognizes that increased labor and material costs
have contributed to this need for a revised rate schedule.
Now, therefore, the Tigard City Council resolves that the following rate
schedule be adopted, to become effective immediately:

RESIDENTAIL
Cans not to exceed 32 gallons;
1 Can $5.00 Monthly Charge; one stop per week;
2 Cans $9.40 Any hauling or services other than
