Resolution No. 79-33 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION NO. 79-d3
A RESOLUTION REGARDING SPEED LIMITS ON SW HALL AND SW 72nd.
WHEREAS the Oregon State Speed Control Board has recently begun
reconsideration of posted speeds on certain highways within its
jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS the City Council, aware on account of its members' direct
contact with traffic in the area, and in addition having had the report of
the chief of police of the City of Tigard;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
The City Council of the City of Tigard expresses its opinion that
the posted speed limit on SW Hall between Omara Street and Durham Road
should be 35 mph for traffic in both directions and that the posted speed
on 72nd Avenue between Landmark Lane and Bridgeport Road should be 30 mph
for traffic in both directions, and that this resolution shall serve as a
recommendation to the Oregon State Speed Control Board, and is to be
forwarded to the Oregon State Speed Control Board by the city recorder
immediately upon the passage of the resolution.
