A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGING CHANGE OF NAME
OF THE TIGARD EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION TO TIGARD MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES
ASSOCIATION (T.M.E.A.).
WHEREAS, the Tigard Employees Association wishes to change their
name :because the Tigard Education Association is also referred to
as T.E.A. and thus causes confusion in news releases; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard Employees Association has requested their name C
be changed to Tigard Municipal Employees Association (TMEA).
NOW, THEREFORE, I
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD THAT:

Section 1: the Tigard Employees Association (T.E.A.) shall be
known:. as, Tigard Municipal Employees Association
(T.M.E.A.) from this time forward.

ANNEXATION PETITION
A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL'•ACKNMTLEDGING RECEIPT OF
A TRIPLE MAJORITY ANNEXATION PETITION CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION
OF LANDS DESCRIBED HEREIN AND REQUESTING FORWARDING TO THE PORT-
LAND METROPOLITAN AREA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard has received and reviewed a
petition for annexation of the Lands described on the
attached Exhibit "A" to the City; and
WHEREAS, the petition has been processed in accordance
with the procedures established by the Portland Metro-
politan Area Local Government Boundary Commission; and
WHEREAS, the petition'meets the requirements of the triple
majority annexation statute,
NOVI, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED: The City Council acknowledges the receipt
of this annexation petition as attached hereto and made a
part hereof and recommends that it be forwarded to the
Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government Boundary Comm
ission for a public hearing and adoption.
