A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE NEED FOR AND REQUESTING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, OREGON, TO ESTABLISH A NO PARKING ZONE-
ALONG PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PATHS ON A PORTIONS) OF S.W. GAARDE STREET.
S.W. McDONALD STREET, SvW. GREENBURG ROAD AND S.W. TIGARD STREET.
WHEREAS, portions of S.W. Gaarde Street, S.W. McDonald Street, S.W.
Greenburg Road and S.W. Tigard Street, adjacent to the.City of Tigard,
Oregon, are under the jurisdiction of Washington County, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, the City has constructed pedestrian and bicycle path's
along portions of said roadways; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that pedestrian and bicycle movement therealong
has been impeded by vehicles parking on paved areas intended for the explicit
use of pedestrians and bicycles:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon, herewith requests
that the Board of Commissioners of Washington County establish no parking
restrictions within the following areas for the aforesaid purpose,
TO WIT:
I. S.W. Gaarde Street - within the South half thereof, westerly
of the West right-of-way line of S.W. 112th Avenue, a distance
of 250 feet more or less, to a terminal point.
2. S.W. McDonald Street - within the South half thereof, westerly of
the West right-of-way line of S.W. 100th Avenue, a distance of 218
feet more or less, to a terminal point.
3. S.W. Greenburg Road - within the Northeasterly half thereof,
southerly of a Easterly extension of the North right-of-way
line of S.W. Tiedeman Avenue, a distance of 900 feet more or
less, to:ka terminal point.
4. S.W. Tigard Street - within the Northeasterly half thereof,
southeasterly of the East right-of-way line of S.W. Tiedeman
Avenue, a distance of 785 feet more or less, to a terminal point.
