Resolution No. 76-32 9 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON RESOLUTION NO. 76-_,12._ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO WAIVE FEES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 17 AND CHAPTER 18, TIGARD iN1UNICIPAL CODE, FOR CERTAIN NON-PROFIT CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard is in regular session this 23rd day of February, 1976; and WHEREAS, the Council has previously ordained that fees shall be prescribed for application to the City for actions pursuant to Chapters 17 and 18, Tigard Municipal Code, by resolution of the Council in Tigard Ordinance No. 75-46; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that the citizens of Tigard and the public derive substantial benefit from the public spirited activities and good works of certain civic organizations; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that the services performed by those organizations provide goodwill for the City and enhance the attractive- ness of the community as a whole; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that these benefits, goodwill and good works represent many hours of volunteer efforts and considerable expense to the members of those organizations; and WHEREAS, the Council further finds that those civic organi- zations do not remunerate their membership, nor do they earn or dis- tribute income, NOW THEN, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON: That the City shall waive fees properly chargeable to such organizations for City actions in their behalf as established by Council Resolution No. 75-51, or any other fees pursuant to Chapter 18 or Chapter 17, Tigard Municipal Code, and furthermore that such waiver shall be granted by the City Administrator in writing for any such action requested by such civic organization, that written waiver to be filed with any application for such action as required by Chapters 17 and 1.8, Tigard Municipal Code.
