A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION TO THE LAND CONSERVATION AND
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF AN EVALUATION OF THE TIGARD PLANNING PROGRAM,
A COMPLIANCE SCHEDULE WITH A REQUEST FOR A PLANNING EXTENSION, AND AN
APPLICATION FOR GRANT ASSISTANCE.
WHEREAS, state law requires that the Tigard planning program be
in compliance with L.C.D.C. Goals and Guidelines on January 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, an evaluation of the Tigard planning program reveals that
the Tigard Planning Program will not be in total compliance on January 1, 1976;
and
WHEREAS, the Land Conservation and Development Commission is empowered
to grant "planning extensions" based upon a proposed compliance shedule; and
WHEREAS, the Land Conservation and Development Commission is empowered
to make financial grants to communities to expedite compliance with Goals and
Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tigard, Oregon that:
Section 1: The City Administrator is instructed and authorized to assure the
submission, by December 31, 1975, of the evaluation of the Tigard
Planning Program, a proposed compliance schedule complete with a
request for a "Planning Extension" as defined by L.C.D.C, and an
application for Grant Assistance with which to expedite timely
completion of the actions and activities necessary to attain
compliance with the L.C.D.C. Goals and Guidelines.
