RESOLUTION No. 75- 57
' A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING, ENDORSING AND DECLARING OFFICIAL CITY SUPPORT OF
TIGARD TOWN AND COUNTRY DAYS; URGING COMMUNITY-WIDE SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATION
BY ALL ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE GREATER TIGARD AREA; ESTABLISHING
COMMUNITY REPORTING PROCEDURES.

WHEREAS, the Tigard Town and Country Days Committee is reorganizing

participation as is practically possible; �
WHEREAS, membership, including the ability to be elected to office, i
is open to all persons in the greater Tigard area; and

WHEREAS, the success of the Town and Country Days celebration is �
directly related to the active involvement of the entire community.

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tigard, Oregon that:
Section 1: The Tigard Town and Country Days Committee is hereby recognized and
endorsed as the official city organizational vehicle for the operation
and management of the annual Town and Country Days celebration; and
Section 2: All Tigard area organizations are urged to attend and assist in the
planning and execution of the Tigard Town and Country Days
celebration through active participation; and
Section 3: The Tigard Tor~ and Country Days committee is urged to make periodic

progress and status reports to the City Council, a_:d the community
inform the populace of the events in order
at-large, to advise and
that, through knowledge, participation be increased.
Section 4: The Tigard City Council declares its support of the Town and Country
Days committee and commends it for the active involvement opportunities
it provides to the community as a whole and declares its intent to
assist and participate in the commi'ttee's activities and programs.
