A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FUNDING PROPOSAL PRINCIPLES .
RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY-COUNTY STREETS AND ROADS FINANCING ?i

WHEREAS, the City-County Streets and Roads Financing Committee y
(Committee) was established by the Board of County Commissioners for
Washington County for the purpose of studying and presenting recomendations
to resolve the fiscal problems relating to the improvement and repair of
the County road and City street systems; and
WHEREAS, after eight months of effort, the Committee has submitted
a comprehensive report, including recommendations for future action by the
governing bodies in Washington County; and ;
WHEREAS, the report has been subjected to a preliminary review and
evaluation by the City of " Ti&ard; now, therefore,
THAT: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
Section 1. The City of Tigard commends the members of the
Committee, and in particular Mr. George Penrose who represented Tigard, S
for their generous contribution of time and efforts in formulating
reco=.enda t ions to resolve the street and road financing problem.
Section 2. The City expresses preliminary approval of the
funding proposals recommended by the Committee in its report. _
