RESOLUTION No. 74- '
A RESOLUTION REVISING THE FEE TO BE CHARGED FOR LATE RETURN OF BOOKS TO THE CITY
LIBCIRY.
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.36.060 of the Tigard Municipal Code provides for the
fixing of fees to be charged for late return of books by resolution of the City '
Council; and
WHEREAS, the Budget Officer and the Library Board has recommended a late
charge of 3c per day for hardback books and Ic per day for paperbacks; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposed fees to be reasonable,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIGARD, OREGON THAT:
Section 1: The fees to be charged for late return of books shall be 3c per
day for:hardback books and le per day for paperback books and the
City Librarian is hereby directed and authorized to collect said late charge
fees.
Sectiou 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its `
passage and approval by the City Council.
