( RESOLUTION No. 74-
A RESOLUTION REVISING THE FEE TO BE CHARGED FOR THE EXTENSION OF LIBRARY
PRIVILEGES TO PERSONS NON-RESIDENT IN THE CITY OF TIGARD.
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.36.060 of the Tigard Municipal Code provides for
the fixing of a reasonable fee for extension of library privileges to persons
non-resident in the City of Tigard by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Budget Officer and the Library Board has recommended a non-
resident fee of $5,00 per year per family for library privileges; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposed f::e to be reasonable in
light of improved library facilities and budgetary needs,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIGARD, OREGON THAT:
Section 1: The fee to be charged non-residents in the City shall be
$5.00 per year and the City Librarian is hereby directed and
authorized to collect said fee from non-residents applying for new, or a
renewal of, library privileges.
Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and approval by the City Council.
