CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RESOLUTION RECORDING THE DESIRE OF THE CITY OF TIGARD TO
ACQUIRE JURISDICTION OF CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS OR PARTS THEREOF
WITHIN THE CITY OF TIGARD NOW UNDER JURI"DICTION OF WASHINGTON
COUNTY, OREGON
WHEREAS, pursuant to 373.270 ORS, the City Council of Tigard
deems it necessary, expedient and for the best interests of the
City to acquire jurisdiction over the County roads or parts
thereof set forth on the attached sheets denoted Exhibits "A"
and "B" and by this reference made a part hereof, to enable
the City to exercise jurisdiction with respect thereto to the
Zextent as it has over other public streets and alleys of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of Washington.County,
Oregon has heretofore, via letter dated February 18, 1970, stated
its willingness to recommend to the Board of County Commissioners
that jurisdictions of all County roads within the City of Tigard
be relinquished to the City upon request, excepting certain
specified roadways, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tigard:
(a) "That the City Council of Tigard does hereby record
its determination that it is necessary and expedient
and in the best interests of the City to acquire
jurisdiction of those County roads or parts thereof
now within the city as tabulated on the attached
Exhibits "A" and "B" to the same extent as the City
exercises jurisdiction over other public streets or
alleys in the City.
(b) "That request is hereby made co the Board of County
Commissioners of Washington County, Oregon to
initiate such proceedings as required by 373.370
ORS to effect the transfer of jurisdiction to the
City of Tigard of said streets, roads or. parts
.. thereof as listed on the attached Exhibits "A" and "B".
(c) "That in connection with any transfer of said streets
or roads to the City of Tigard, that the County
Commissioners cause to have prepared and submitted
to the City the following with respect to each road,
street or part thereof:
1. Legal description of such street, road or
part thereof.
2. Copies of all engineering plans with re-
pect to the construction of streets,
installation of storm sewers, sanitary
sewers and other public utilities.
3. Certified copies of all parmits, easements
or agreements for the use of lands within
the right-of-way of said streets or roads
for sewers, drains, public utilities or
private uses of any kind, including mainte-
nance bonds or contracts applicable thereto."

All that portion of the hereinbelow listed County roads in Section
1, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington
County, Oregon, being more particularly described as follows-
1.)

2.) C- R. No. 2071 ( S.W. Cherry Street, S.W. Fir Street and
S.W. Varna Street).
3.) C. R. No. 1286 (S.W. Varns Street); All that portion
thereof lying Westerly of State Secondary Highway No.
144 (Beaverton/Tigard Highway).
4.) C. R. No. 245 tS.W. Hunziker Street); All that portion
thereof lying Easterly of the West boundary line of that
tract of land described in Book 336 on Page 534 in Deed
Records of said County.
ALSO, including therewith, all that portion of the hereinbelow
listed County roads in Section 2, 3, and 10. Township 2 South,
Range 1 West, Willamette Meridian, Washington County, Oregon,
being more particularly described as follows:
5.) C. R. No. 1320 (S.W. Park Street).
6.) C. R. No. 1804 (S.W. Derry Dell Court).
7.) C. R. No. 1788 (S.W. Watkins Avenue and S.W. Cook Lane).
8.) C. R. No. 1872 (S.W. Watkins Avenue).
9.) C. R. No. 1764 (S.W. Watkins Avenue).
10.) C. R. No. 1935 (S.W. Watkins Avenue); All that portion
thereof lying Southerly of the South line of Lot 4 0£
ROSE TERRACE, a duly recorded plat of record in said
County.

portion
( thereof lying Easterly of the East boundary line of
