Resolution No. 73-13CITY OF TIGARD RESOLUTION No. 73-_,:~_ A RESOLUTION OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL URGING THE FEDERAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY TO RELEASE MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE DURHAM ROAD TREATMENT PLA17T. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tigard is concerned that the master sewer facility, known as the Durham Road Treatment Plant, was to be in operation by 1972 and has not been constructed; and WHEREAS, the funding was to be matching funds from the Environmental Protection Agency and these funds have been •.-ithheld by the agency; and WHEREAS, the City Of Tigard is obtaining more housing facilities and sewer users, the City Council feels the impact on this community would be severely felt if such a facility is not constructed and put into operation immediately. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Tigard City Council urges immediate action by the Environmental Protection Agency to release such funds for the health and well-being of the citizens of the Tigard area.
