CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION No. 72-9 OF JUNE 1. 1972,
WITH RESPECT TO THE AD VALOREM TAS LEVY OF THE CITY FOR THE YEAR
BEGINNING JULY 1, 1972 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1973 TO REFLECT AN
INCREASE IN TM TAZ BASE OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, by resolution of June 9. 1972 the results of the
special election of June 6, 1972 whereat the legal voters of the
City authorised a tax levy in the sum of $118,943. in excess of
the tax base of the City and adopted a total general fund tax
levy in the sum of $236,739., of which $117,796. was recorded to
be within the limitation of Section 11, Article XI, Oregon Con-
stitution, and $118,943. in excess of such limitation; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said election the Department of Rove-*=*
and Taxation of Washington County has reported to the City that
the City's tax base for the forthcoming year beginning July 1,
1972 and ending June 30, 1973 was by reason of annexations increased
and established in the amount of $118,917.84; and
WHEREAS, that portion of the tax levy in excess of the
established tax base should be reduced in a sum equal to the ad-
justment by increase in the tax base. to-wit: $1,121.66,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council that Resolution
No. 72-9 subsection (1) be, and the same is hereby, amended to
read as follows:
$23:(I) including total general fund tax levy in the sum of
siding $118,917.84 within the limitations of
Section 11. Article II, Oregon Constitution, and $117,821.16
in excess of said limitations, is hereby declared and ap-
yrowed, and certified to the Department of Revenue and
Taxation of Wdshingten Coanty, Oregon, for the dear
beginning July 1, 3.972 and ending June 30, 1973."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects said
Resolution No. 72-9 is hereby ratified and confirmed.
