RESOLUTION No. 71-/3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TIGARD CONSENTING TO THE
OPERATION OF THE FEDERAL LEASED HOUSING PROGR:.K WITHIN
THE CITY OF TIGARD BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF WASHING-
TON COUNTY.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 23 of the United
States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, the United States of
America, acting through the Secretary of Housing and Urban
Development, is authorized to provide financial assistance to
the Housing Authority of Washington County in providing low-
rent housing by leasing dwelling units in existing privately-
owned structures; and
WHEREAS, said Section 23 provides that the provisions
thereof shall not apply to any locality unless the governing
body of the locality has by resolution approved the application
of such provisions to the locality.
NO% THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Tigard. Oregon as follows:
That the Housing Authority of Washington County is
authorized to institute and to administer within the City of
Tigard a leased housing program as authorized by Secti. n 23
of the Federal Housing Act of 1937, as amended.
