Resolution No. 71-01 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
RECOGNIZING MERITORIOUS SERVICE OF ELVIN G. KYLE
January 11, 1971
RESOLUTION 71-1
WHEREAS, Councilman Elvin G. Kyle has served the
people of the City of Tigard for the past six years in
the capacity of Mayor with diligence, strong leadership
and distinction, and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that such
meritorious service should be officially recognized and
made a matter of record;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City
Council of the City of Tigard, on behalf of the people of
the City of Tigard, do hereby officially recognize the
diligent, dutiful and selfless manner in which Councilman
ELVIN G. KYLE discharged the duties of the office of Mayor
in his six year term expiring December 31, 1970, and
f; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the
is Council do hereby express and record the personal apprecia-
tion of each of them for the high-minded and public-
spirited leadership during Mr. Kyle's term as Mayor, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this
Resolution be communicated to ELVIN G. KYLE by writing,
to be signed by his successor in the
�ce of Mayor.
