WHEREAS, the lands hereinafter described re contiguous
to the corporate boundaries of Tigard;
WHEREAS, Paragraph 16(1) of Chapter 494 Oregon Laws of
1969 authorizes the governing body of a city to initiate pro-
ceedings for minor boundary changes as in said Chapter 494
6„ defined, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tigard, Oregon
finds that it is consistent with the legislative policy pro-
" nouncements of said Chapter 494 Oregon Laws of 1969 and in the
public interest that the Metropolitan Boundary Commission be
requested to conduct proper proceedings to accol,plish the annexa-
tion of the following described lands of the City of Tigard, and
that the boundaries of the city of Tigard be expanded to include F
the said lands described as follows:
As set forth on the attached sheet headed
"DESCRIPTION" and +?: this reference made a
part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RP.SOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tigard,
Oregon:
(1) That proceedings for a boundary change through annexa-
tion to the City of Tigard are hereby initiated pursuant
to Paragraph 16(1)(a) of chapter 494, Oregon Laws of
1969, of the lands above herein described.
(2) That the Boundary Conimission is hereby requested to 1
forthwith initiate and conduct all necessary and
proper proceedings to change the corporate boundaries
of the City of'Tigard to include said lands,
(3) That the City Recorder of the City of Tigard is hereby
authorized and directed to forthwith file a certified
copy of this Resolution with the Boundary Commission.
