CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON

WHEREAS, June 29, 1969, Melissa Marlene Evans, an
infant, was dying of asphyxiation, and
WHEREAS, bystanders felt unable to render assistance
and summoned the aid of the Tigard Police Department,
and
WHEREAS, Officer Robert Oliverio responded and applied
proper first aid until arrival of the Fire District
First Aid Car, thereby saving the life of the child,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
_ the City of Tigard on behalf of the people of the City,
do hereby officially recognize the dedicated and heroic
action of Officer Robert Oliverio.

going be made a matter of Official record and that a
copy of this resolution be forwarded to Officer Oliverio.
