RESOLUTION NO. 69- 7
RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL ADOI"ING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF TIGARD
FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,1969 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1970, MAILING
APPROPRIATIONS IN ACCORDP.NCE WITH THE BUDGET DOCUMENT, DECLARING A
TAX LEVY AND :ERTIFYING THE AMOUNT OF TOTAL TAXES TO BE LEVIED FOR ALL
FUNDS AS SHOWN BY.THE BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the Budget for the City of Tigard for the year be-
ginning July 1, 1969 and ending June 30, 2969 was duly approved by
the duly constituted Budget Committee at its meeting of Ma1
1969, after proceedings in accordance with Chapter .S.
WHEREAS, a hearing by the City Council on the budget document
as approved by the Budget Committee, was duly called to be held on
the 26th day of May, 1969, for the purpose of affording any person
_ an opportunity to appear and be heard for or against any item in the
Budget; and
WHEREAS, a summary of the Budget document as required.by
§294.416 O.R.S. was duly published in the Tigard Times in accordance
with §294.421, O.R.S. prior to the date of said hearing on May 26,
1969; and
WHEREAS, the said hearing was duly and regularly held by the
City Council at its'regular meeting of May 26, 1969; and
WHEREAS, the total general expenditure less applicable revenues
produces a total general fund levy within the limitations of the City's
tax base; and
+' WHEREAS, it appears that all conditions precedent to adoption
of the Budget, the making of appropriations, declaring a tax levy
for each fund and certifying the tax levy, have been duly and regu-
larly conducted in accordance with Chapter 294, O.R.S., AND THE CITY
COUNCIL SO FINDS;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
(1) That the Budget for the year beginning July 1, 1969, and
ending June 30, 1970, as heretofore adopted by the Budget Committee
and as duly published and heard, a cogs whereof being hereto attached
and by reference made a part hereof, ba, and the same is hereby adopted.
(2) That the appropriations shown by said Budget for each
fund, and.the levy therein set forth with respect to each fund, be,
and the same are hereby appropriated, determined and declared as a
tax levy for each such fund.
(3) That the total taxes to be certified for levy for all
funds in accordance with said Budget in the sum of $101,202.00 be,
and the same are hereby determined, declared and certified by the City
of Tigard for the year beginning July 1, 1969, and ending June 30, 1970.
(4) That the Mayor and City Recorder be, and they are,
respectively authorized and directed to certify the levy to the Depart-
cant of Revenue and Taxation of Washington County, Oregon.
