Resolution No. 69-03 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON March 24, 1969 69 - 3 WHEREAS, The Tualatin Basin is rapidly developing and thereby adding to the burden of the existing sewage collection and treatment facilities; and WHEREAS, the Washington County Board of Commissioners has appointed a citizens advisory committee to review and make recommendations regarding the adoption of a basin-wide solution to these problems; and WHEREAS, stoppage of development caused by a lack of sewage treatment facilities, capable of adequately maintaining proper water quality standards, for the time period between the present and the implementation of a basin-wide sewerage system, could have disastrous impact on the economy of the City and its surrounding area; and WHEREAS, the City has retained the firm of Stevens, Thompson and Runyan, Inc. to make recommendations on possible interim solutions, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Tigard as follows: That the City Council pledges all support within its' powers to the implementation of a basin-wide or regional solution to the areas sewage collection, and treatment problems. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the recommendation called Alternate "A" as set forth in the "Report on Secondary Treatment Facilities Expansion for the City of Tigard, Oregon" be and the same are hereby accepted and that the City staff is authorized to present =aid re- commendation to the Oregon State Sanitary Authority for its' review and approval.
