Resolution No. 68-05 �Y RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Public Law 88-578, entitled the Land and Water
Conservation Act of 1965, provides for grants to assist in pre-
serving, developing and assuring present and future generations of
U.S. Citizens such quality and quantity of outdoor recreation as
may be available, necessary, and desirable by providing funds on a
507 matching basis; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that the contract for Federal
Grant Funds will impose certain obligations and responsibilities
upon the City of Tigard, which among other things, will be in com-
pliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tigard desires to
qualify and participate on a 507 matching basis under Public Law
88-578 to the extent of $_ 1 s q g0 for the purposes hereinabove
described, involving projects concerned with the lands of the City
of Tigard,
NOW, THEREFORE,
The Council of the City of Tigard, does
hereby resolve that the sum of $ !.'_-`0'D be,_
the same is hereby set aside from the Xk,&�.Tel und
of the City of Tigard, to be used on a matching basis
for expenditure for the purposes hereinabove set forth,
and said sum is hereby appropriated to such purposes for
expenditure as the project progresses.
