Resolution No. 66-02 RESOLUTION OF MEMORIAL
In Behalf of: MAYOR EDWARD A. WOODARD
BE IT REMEMBERED: That at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tigard, on Monday, March 14, 1966, the
following Resolution and Memorial was passed tio, honor MAYOR
EDWARD A. WOODARD who was taken by death on 1744,OA/0./44'
WHEREAS, EDWARD A. WOODARD was a charter member of the City -
Council or Tigard, serving from the incorporation of the City As
V6 3 until his death in 1966; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD A. WOODARD served as '•,ayor to the City of
Tigard during 1963 and 1964; and
WHEREAS, EDWARD A. WOODARD's accomplishments in civic service
were many, and it is fitting and proper that such meritorious
service should be recognized and made a matter of record,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Tigard, in behalf of the people of the City of Tigard,
e does officially recognize the dedicated, dutiful, selfless and
diligent manner in which EDWARD A. WOODARD served and discharged
the duties of Councilman and Mayor since the incorporation of
the City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the members of the Council do
hereby express and record their personal appreciation for his

past services and leadership, and their sense of loss at his
passing; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the contents of the foregoing
be recorded es a Resolution of the Council and that a copy be
.` forwarded to the members of Mayor Woodard's family.
