WHEREAS, there was submitted to the voters of the City
Iof Tigard by the City Council the question of levying a tax
outside the limits of Article 11, Section XI of the Oregon Con-
stitution for the year beginning July 1, 1963 and ending June,
30, 1964, in the sum of $10,478.50, to provide funds wherewith
to purchase real property and improvements for use as a City Hall ;
and
WHEREAS, the Election Board at said election of July 1,
1963 has certified the reeult thereof to be as follows:
Total votes cast 215
Ballots marked "X YES" 113
Ballots marked "X NO" 102
WHEREAS, a majority of said votes were cast in favor of
said measure,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED:BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIGARD:
That the results of said election are hereby canvassed and declared
to be 215 votes cast, of which 113 ballots read "X YES* and 102
ballots read "X NO", and that a majority of the votes were in
favor of said measure.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That the City tecorder be, and he
is hereby, directed to prepare notice and certificate of levy with
respect to the budget and levy for all taxes both within and out-
side the 6% limitation, to the proper County and State offices,
same to be signed by the Mayor and Recorder of the City of Tigard.
PASSED by unanimous vote of all members of the City Council
present at the regular meeting of the Council on July 8, 1963.
