Resolution No. 63-09 R E S O L U T I O N {
r WHEREAS, the Election Board, duly constituted and sworn

to act as such with respect to the special election of the City 3
of Tigard held on the 1st day of July, 1963, has certified the re-
sults thereof with respect to the referendum measure submitted to
the voters by the City Council concerning the adding of a new
section numbered 41 0£ Chapter IX to the City Charter, authoriz-
ing the issuance and sale of $150,000.00 bonds of the City; and
WHEREAS, the results so certified have been duly consid-
ered by the City Council, and the vote has been duly canvassed by
the Council,
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED: That the results of the election with re-
spect to the following described measure be, and the same are
hereby declared as follows:
Total votes cast: 221
Ballots reading "X YES" 169
Ballots reading "X NO" 52
The said measure being described as follows:
An amendment to the City Charter of the City of Tigard
adding a new section numbered 41 of Chapter IX, auth-
orizing the construction, resonstruction operation,
maintenance and repair of sewage disposal facilities
and a sewer system and sewer lines both within and out-
side the corporate limits of the city authorizing a
bond issue in a a= not to exceed $156,000.00 to finance
the same, and authorizing the pledging of the net revenue
and the city's general credit and taxing power, both
subject to existing bonded obligations of the city, for
the repayment of said bonds, including the principal
and interest thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Charter of the City
of Tigard be, and the same is hereby, declared to be amen by
inclusion in the said Charter of Section 41 of Chapter IX, cot.-

Tigard be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to file with
the Librarian of the Supreme Court Library a duly certified copy
of said amendment, being Section 41, Chapter IX, of the Charter
of the City of Tigard, pursuant to 5221.710 Oregon Revised
Statutes.
PASSED by unanimous vote of all members of the City Council
present at the regular meeting of the Council on July 8, 1963.
