S;tM MR, the sever system and disposal facilities of the
City of Tigard are in urgent need of mudiiicaCiun and enlar&ement;
and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the Charter of the City of Tigard
is required to submit to the legal voters the Question of contract-
ing further bonded indebtedness for said purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Tigard, Oregon, that a special election is hereby called to be
held on the 1st day of July, 1963, between the hours of 8:00 a.m.
and 8:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Saving Time, in the Council Room
of the City Hall of Tigard, Oregon, for the purpose of submitting;
to the legal voters of Tigard Ordinance No. 43-7 proposing an
amendment to the Charter of the City of Tigard, Oregon, to be number-
ed Section 41, of Chapter V&, and that said election be conducted
in accordance with the election laws of the State of Oregon, and
that notice be given thereof as required by Initiative and Referendum
Ordinance No. 62-20 of the City of Tigard, by publishing said charter
amendment ordinance, together with ballot title and number, in the
Tigard Times, a newspaper of general circulation within the City of
Tigard, once each week for two successive weeks for three publish-
ings in all, the first of said publishings to be on June 13, 1963,
and thereafter on June 20 and 27, 1963, and the Recorder be, and he
is hereby, directed to post notices thereof in not less than four
public places within the City of Tigard for not less than ten (10)
days prior to Lae date of said election.
Passed by unanimous vote of the City Council on the law
day of June, 1963.
