AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 10.28, OF THE TIGARD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO SECTION 10.28.130 TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF SW COMMERCIAL STREET BEGINNING AT A POINT 348 FEET SOUTHEAST
OF THE SOUTHEAST RIGHT-OF WAY LINE OF SW MAIN STREET TO A POINT 448 FEET
SOUTHEAST OF MAIN STREET.
WHEREAS,Tri-Met has requested help to provide additional turning radius for their buses to safely exit
the transfer center towards Main Street. Currently,there is a gap in the 2-hr parking zones 10.28.090(E)
and 10.28.090(D) on the north side of Commercial St. opposite the Tri-Met transfer center. Creating a
new No Parking zone in this area will accommodate Tri-Met's request.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 10.28.130 of the Tigard Municipal Code is hereby amended and supplemented
to add a new subsection to read as follows:
Within the northeast half of SW Commercial StrPet beginning at a point three hundred
forty eight feet southeast of the southeast right-of-way line of SW Main Street and
continuing to a point four hundred forty eight feet southeast of Main Street.
SECTION 2: City staff is directed to install No Parking signs appropriate to the location as described
above.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, signature by
the Mayor,and posting by the City Recorder.
