ORDINANCE NO.99-A
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE TIGARD
MUNICIPAL, CODE BY REVISION OF SECTION 10.28.130(8) TO REMOVE THE PARKING
RESTRICTION ON THE NORTH SIDE OF COMMERCIAL STREET EXCEPT FOR 100 FEET
NORTHWEST OF THE WESTERLY RIGHT-OF WAY OF HALL BLVD., AND ON THE SOUTH
SIDE EXCEPT FOR 170 FEET NORTHWEST OF HALL BLVD.
WHEREAS,recent street improvements on Commercial St. have provided an area where parking is now
available where previously none existed. Removal of the parking restriction is necessary to allow the
public to use this area for parking.
WHEREAS, a portion of the parking restriction 10.28.130(8) should remain on the north side of
Commercial St. from the westerly right-of-way of Hall Blvd. to a point 100 feet northwest, which will
accommodate intersection turning movements, and on the south side of Commercial St. from Hall Blvd
to a point 170 feet northwest,which will accommodate the right tum lane.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 10.28.130(8)of the Tigard Municipal Code is revised to read as follows:

northwesterly one hundred feet, and on the south side northwesterly one hundred
seventy feet;
SECTION 2: City staff is directed to remove existing No Parking signs and install new signs
appropriate to the revision as described above.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the Council, signature by
the Mayor,and posting by the City Recorder.
