WHEREAS,the Tigard City Council held a public hearing on September 24, 1996, to consider a zoning
designation for one parcel of land located at the Southeast corner of Johnson Street and 106th Drive. 'ea
WHEREAS, on September 24, 1996, the Tigard City Council approved a resolution forwarding the 'g
proposed annexation to the Portland Metropolitan Area Local Government Boundary Commission;and 1 ;

4 WHEREAS,the zoning district designation recommended by the planning staff as set forth in the attached §
staff report and in Section 1 below is that which most closely approximates the Washington County land
use designation while implementing the city's existing Comprehensive Plan designation of Low Density
