ORDINANCE NO. 94-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.28 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY
ESTABLISHING A TWELVE-HOUR PARKING LIMIT ON A PORTION OF SW 76TH
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Council has receijec'_ a request from the owners of
adjoining properties to limit parking along a portion of SW 76th
Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the property owners' concerns relate to vehicles being
parked on the street for long periods of time and the undesirable
activities associated with such vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has heard a recommendation that a twelve-hour
parking limit on weekdays would best address the concerns about
long-term parking without unduly inconveniencing legitimate users
of the street.
Ask THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1: A new Section 10.28.095 is added to the Tigard
Municipal Code, to read as follows:
10.28.095 Twelve Hour Limit: No parson shall
park or leave standing a vehicle of any kind
or character, whather motorized or not,
continuously in excess of twelve hours, except
when a portion of that twelve-hour period
occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, on
the following public streets and highways:
(1) On SW 76th Avenue between Bonita Road
and a point 500 feet south of the centerline
of Bonita Road.

SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its
passage by the, Council, approval by the Mayor, and
posting by the .City Reco'der.
