AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERMINATION 0,113E OF ORDINANCE 82-12 WHICH
GRANTED A NON-EXCLUSIVE TELEPHONE UTILI`rY FRANCHISE TO GENERAL
TELEPHONE COMPANY OF THE NORTHWEST AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Term Extension. The Franchise granted by Ordinance 82-12 is hereby extended
until September 8, 1992,
SECTION 2: When Effective. It is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that it is
necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health, and safety of the people of the
City of Tigard, Oregon,that this ordinance become effective immediately in order to provide the
continuity of telephone service, insure public revenues, and authorize the proper use of public
property within the City,and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage by
the Council and approval by the Mayor.
SECTION I Acceptance. The grantee shall, within thirty (30) days from this day
of , 1992, file with the City its written unconditional acceptance of this extension,
and if the grantee fails to do so, this Ordinance shall be void.
