AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TMC 10.28.130, PROHIBITING PARKING ON A PORTION OF SW
135TH AVENUE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS TMC 10.28.130 prohibits parking at any time on portions of certain
public streets in Tigard; and
AREAS the Tigard City Council has heard a recommendation of the City Engineer
that similar parking restrictions be imposed on a portion of SW 135th Avenue in
order to improve safety; and
WHEREAS the Tigard City Council has also heard a recommendation that
enforcement of the parking prohibitions be delayed in order to provide adequate
time for the owners of adjoining properties to provide adequate ofZ street
parking; and
WHEREAS the Tigard City Council has determined that adequate off street parking
can be provided by May 1, 1989.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: TMC 10.28.130, designating the streets or portions thersof where
parking is prohibited at all times, is hereby
amended by adding
the following;
"(59) Along both sides of SW 135th Avenue between Scholls Ferry
Road and Morning Hill Drive."
Section 2: An emergency is hereby declared to exist inasmuch as it is
na-coosary for the health and safety of the people of the City that
the parking restrictions of Section 1 be implemented as soon as
adequate off street parking can be provided by the owners of
adjoining properties; therefore, this ordinance shall become r
effective on May 1, 1989.
