ORDINANCE NO. 86-26
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE SEWER LINE MAINTENANCE FEE, APPROVING MONTHLY
v SEWER/STORM DRAINAGE BILLINGS AND ESTABLISHING INTEREST AND PENALTIES ON
DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS.
WHEREAS, the Budget Committee has recommended to City Council the repeal
of the Sewer line maintenance fee and the preparation of monthly billings

WHEREAS, our agreement with USA has an '18% interest charge for delinquent
accounts after 30 days and,
WHEREAS, the City loses 37 of revenue when delinquent accounts are tinned
x over to the tax assessor for collections,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council repeals the sewer line maintenance fee
effective July 1, 1986.
SECTION 2: The City Council authorizes the transition to monthly billing
July 1, 1986.
SECTION 3: The City Council imposes a 3% penalty on all delinquent
accounts that are turned over to the Washington County Tax
j Assessor for collection effective with the passage of this
ordinance..
