AN ORDINANCE OF THE TIGARD CITY COUNCIL AMENDING SECTION 2.40.030 OF THE
TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE FURiHC:R DEFINING FILING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MAYOR'S
POSITION BY TIGARD CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the l'igard voters approved amendments to the Tigard City Charter,
including Section 7, entitled MAYOR AND COUNCIL, at the November 5, 1985
general election; and ;
WHEREAS, those changes require further clarification in Section 2.40.030 of
the Tigard Municipal Code regarding the filing requirements for the Mayor's C`
position by other Council members.
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 2-40.030 of the Tigard Municipal Code shall be amended by g.
adding a new subsection (1) as underlined and set forth below, and existing F
subsections (1) and (2) shall become subsections (2) and (3).

Section 2: This ordinance shall be effective on the 31st day after its
enactment by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
