ORDINANCE NO. 85-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 18.42.020(c)(6), 18.68.040, 18.70.030,
18.72.030 and 18.130.150 OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY (ZOA 5--85)
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard finds it necessary to revise its Community
Development code periodically to improve the operation and implementation of
the Code; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council has reviewed the Community Development Code
and has adopted the same; and
WHr-REAS, -T-HE City of Tigard Manning Commission held public hearings on the
proposed changes on September 10, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council held a public hearing on the proposed changes
an October 14, 1985.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Community Development Code shall be amended as shown in
Exhibit "A attached.
SECTION 2: In order that the Community Development Code may improve the
operation and implementation of the Code and to protect the public
health, safety and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to '
exist and this Ordinance shall become effective upon. its passage
by the Council and approval by the Mayor.

EXHIBIT "A"
The fallowing sections shall be added to the Community Development Code as
:., noted below:
1. Section 18.42.020(c)(6)
(E) Automotive and Equipment: Body Repairs, Light Eq ipm2nt. Repair
of automobiles and light vehicles under 10,000 gross cargo weight
including body repairs, welding and painting.
The existing subsections (E) through (1) shall be reordered to (F)
through (J).
2. Section 18.63.040

The existing subsections (1) and (2) shall be renumbered as (2) and (3).
3. section 18.70.030(2)(0)
(v) Body repairs, light equipment.

(3) Automotive and equipment: Body repairs; light equipment.
(A) Setbacks
(i) A five (5) foot perimeter setback shall surround all
ditdoor parking and storage areas.
(ii) Buffer screening shall be provided along the perimeter
of all outdoor parking and storage areas as required in
Section 18,3.00.080 of thin Cade.
(iii) All repair work shall be performed indoors.
The existing subsection 18.130.350(3) through (27) shall be renumbered
(4) through (28).
