CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE NO. 84—_�,;-� AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 10.28, OF THE T'IGARD MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING TO SECTION 10,28,125 TO RESTRICT PARKING I)ORING A SPECIFIED PERIOD(S) ON A PORTION OF S.W. GARRETT AVENUE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. THE CITY OF 'TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That Section 10.28.125 of the Tigard Municipal Code, relating to locations where parking is restricted during a specified period($), be, and the same is hereby amended and supplemented to add thereto a new subsection reading as follows: 10.28.125 Svecified Period Restrictions. No person shall park a motor vehicle of any kind or character between the hours specified on the following defined portions of public streets in the City: (3) Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. within the right—of--way of S.W. Garrett Street from the intersection thereof with S.W. Pacific Highway southeasterly 400 feet, excepting therefrom the southwesterly 250 feet. Section 2: That the City Administrator be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause to have the areas in which parking is restricted as above set forth suitably posted in the manner provided by law. Section 3: Inasmuch as this parking restriction is necessary to protect the health, 'safety and general welfare of the public and in particular pedestrians and motorists attempting to enter the street, on said street an emergency is recognizLd to exist and is hereby declared and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the City Council.
