AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE 7.52.100 PARKS--INTOXICATING
LIQUOR PROHIBITED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City of Tigard allows private citizens to rent the City parks and
allows the use of alcoholic beverages with proper OLCC permits, and
WHEREAS, many times these requests for permission to dispense alcoholic
beverages do not coincide with City Council meetings.
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7.52.100 be amended to read as follows
(underlined for addition and [] for deletions): 7.52.100
Parks--Intoxicating liquor prohibited. It is unlawful for any
person to take into or upon any park any intoxicatinmg liquor, for
other than his own use. No intoxicated person shall enter or remain
in any of the parks. The sale or dispensing of malt beverages
containing not more than four percent of alcohol by weight, shall be
allowed only after obtaining a permit to do so from the City
Administrator, upon recommendation of the Police Chief, [subject to
." approval of the City Council] and approval of the Oregon Liquor
Control Commission.
Section 2. The park reservation season is upon, us and to avoid
delays in processing the OLCC permits an emergency is declarad and
this ordinance becomes effective immediately upon unanimous approval
by the City Council.
