AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 83-52 AND REVISING THE FLOODPLAIN AND
WETLANDS MAP; AND DECLARING AND EMERGENCY. (CPA 3-84)
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard adopted a Comprehensive Plan for the City by
ordinance 83-52 on November 9, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Comprehensive Plan Map was adopted as part of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, certain lands were designated as Open Space on the Land Use
Comprehensive Plan Map; and
WHEREAS, open space is defined as lands dedicated for city parks or greenway

WHEREAS, certain lands designated as open space do not fall within the
definition of open spare; and
WHEREAS, a public 'hearing was held before the Planning Commission on April i7,
1984, and a recommendation was made to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council on April 30, 1984,
and the Council voted unanimously to amend the Land Use Comprehensive Plan Map
to include only lands within the floodplain, dedicated greenway or park land.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Comprehensive Plan Map Land Use is hereby amended as
setforth in Exhibit "A" attached.
Section 2. In order to eliminate uncertainty with respect to land use
designations and to protect the public health, safety, and
welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective upon its passage by the Council
and approved by the Mayorprotem.
