ORDINANCE NO. 84-x_
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10.1, ANNEXATION OF LAND, OF VOLUME 2, FINDINGS,
POLICIES AND IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
WHEREAS, Washington County has placed zoning designations on property within
the City of Tigard°s Urban Growth Boundary which has not been annexed to the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City and County are in agreement that, in order to accomodate
existing development and neighbortioods as they are annexed to the City, the
City should place the City zoning designation on the property which most
closely conforms to the County zoning designation;and
NOW THEREFORE:
THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10.1 of Volume 2, Findings, Policies and Implementation
Strategies, Comprehensive Plan document shall be amended to add:
70-1 3 trn,-?r annexation of land into the City which carries a Washinetan
County zoning designation, the City of Tigard shall assign -the
city of Tigard zoning district designation which most closely
conforms to the County zoning designation.
Section 2: In order to provide clear direction for the interpretation of the
Tigard Comprehensive Plan, and to protect the public health,
safety and welfare of the people of the City of Tigard, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
become effective upon its passage by the Council and approval by
the Mayor.
