A HOUSEKEEPING ORDINANCE REPEALING TITLES 16, 17, AND 18 OF THE TIGARD
MUNICIPAL CODE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard, by implication, repealed Titles 16, 17, and
18 of the Tigard Municipal Code during the Comprehensive Plan hearing and
adoption process; and
WHEREAS, in order to give clear direction for the codification of the
Tigard Municipal Code, the titles must be repealed by separate ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Titles 16, 17 and 18 of the Tigard Municipal Code hereby repealed
in their entirety as they currently appear in the Tigard
Municipal Code by this ordinance.
Section 2: In order to provide clear direction for the codification of the
Tigard Municipal Code, and to protect the public health, safety
and welfare of the people of the City of Tigard, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and Titles 16, 17 and 18 of the Tigard
Municipal Code shall be repealed and this ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage by the Council and approval by the
